Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) describes the serious damages that can occur when an infant or toddler is severely or violently shaken. In this brochure, readers will learn more about what AHT is, how to prevent AHT from occurring, and how they can use self-care strategies to calm themselves when the baby in their care cries. In addition, this brochure details the ABCD’s of safe sleep to decrease the risk of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID). These brochures can be distributed to help educate and bring awareness to preventing AHT and SUID.
