PCAK’s Ready-To-Use Tools Make Sextortion Prevention Simple for Educators
Lexington, KY — As Kentucky schools prepare for the upcoming school year, Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky (PCAK) is stepping forward to support educators and school boards in complying with Senate Bill 73 (SB 73). This legislation mandates public schools post information about sextortion prevention and provide age-appropriate educational materials for students.
To ease the burden on schools, PCAK has developed and launched a comprehensive Internet Safety Education Toolkit that empowers teachers to meet SB 73’s mandates with confidence and simplicity.
“SB 73 is a critical step toward protecting Kentucky’s children in an increasingly digital world,” said Jill Seyfred, Executive Director of PCAK. “We’ve created resources that not only meet legal requirements but are ready to use in real classrooms starting today.”
PCAK’s SB 73 Compliance Toolkit Includes:
- SB 73 School Poster
Age-appropriate, hotline-equipped, and print-ready for immediate school display - Internet Safety Video Series
Developed with KSP — includes versions for all grade levels
Highlights risks, prevention strategies, and how to report sextortion - Interactive Coloring Book
Engaging, child-friendly internet safety activities for younger students - Parenting Slicks
Printable tip sheets to send home, helping families support digital safety - One-Click Online Resource Hub

“When creating this toolkit, the SB 73 poster, and the educator checklist, I kept both children and teachers at the forefront of my mind,” said Emmaline Hoskins, PCAK’s Coordinator of Media Relations and Digital Assets. “Making it easy for schools to implement such necessary education is essential to prevention.”
A Call to School Boards and Educators
School boards, principals, FRYSCs, and educators across the Commonwealth are encouraged to adopt PCAK’s resources immediately to ensure their schools are compliant with SB 73. The tools are free, easy to implement, and designed with schools in mind.
“As educators, administrators and staff prepare for the start of another school year, the success and safety of students is at the forefront of their minds. Districts are currently hard at work implementing policies and procedures brought about by recent legislative changes. Turn-key compliance resources for SB 73, created by PCAK will make it that much easier for our schools to be prepared on day one to meet both the letter of the law and the spirit behind its passage,” said Josh Shoulta, PCAK Board Member and Associate Executive Director of the Kentucky School Board Association.
Whether displaying the SB 73 poster, incorporating the video series into lesson plans, or sending home parent materials, PCAK’s resources make it simple to meet legislative requirements while advancing digital safety in every classroom.
