Kentucky State Police and PCAK Team Up to Launch Internet Safety Video Series
Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky wraps up National Internet Safety Month with 10 powerful, easy-to-watch training videos now live on their website

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 30, 2025) – To close out National Internet Safety Month, Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky (PCAK) announces the launch of 10 new Internet Safety Training Videos, developed in collaboration with the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch and produced by Mahan Multimedia.

These quick, impactful training videos, now live at www.pcaky.org, are designed for parents, caregivers, educators, and advocates who want to take a proactive role in keeping kids safe online. This full training takes under 45 minutes, making it easier than ever to turn awareness into action.

“This training proves meaningful prevention is within reach. In just 45 minutes, anyone can learn how to make a difference.” said PCAK Executive Director Jill Seyfred. “We are proud to partner, once again, with the Kentucky State Police to bring accessible, current resources to communities across the Commonwealth.”

PCAK and the KY State Police have a long-standing history of collaboration in this space, and this year’s joint effort delivers concise, expert-backed education on topics like sextortion, online gaming, privacy settings, and more.  In under an hour, viewers will learn how to spot online dangers, tips to monitor screen time safely, ways to start open conversations with kids, what to do if something goes wrong and other resources.

“We’re thrilled to make these resources available during National Internet Safety Month, but they’re built to make sustainable impact all year long,” said Seyfred.

Here’s what to know:

  • Watch all 10 videos anytime at pcaky.org/internet-safety/
  • View in under 45 minutes—perfect for staff meetings, family discussions, and school settings
  • Topics include social media, digital grooming, sextortion, gaming safety, privacy, and prevention tips

As we wrap up June, we’re calling on every Kentuckian to do one thing: Train yourself. Protecting children in a digital world starts with being informed, and there’s no better time than now.
