Paint Your Heart Out For Home of the Innocents

Fundraising event to feature wall mural painting in Butchertown

 

Louisville, Ky. (February 24, 2017) – Home of the Innocents will kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month with a fundraising event, Paint Your Heart Out, on Saturday, April 1 from 2-6 pm. Featuring the completion of a neighborhood mural representing the children served by the Home, this family-friendly event includes interactive painting, live bands, food trucks, vendors and much more! Plus, the opportunity to learn about Home of the Innocents and our efforts to combat child abuse in our community.

The mural will be painted by Often Seen Rarely Spoken, a local mural painting company, on the side of Butchertown Market at 1201 Story Avenue. Currently sponsoring the event is Kosair Charities. Sponsors and participants will be listed on www.paintyourheartout.org as commitments are received.

This event is a Candle Light Vigil for Laurel County to come together and honor those who have suffered from child abuse. Guest speakers will highlight on the impact of child abuse in our community and discuss how to take a stand to help prevent it.
